Common Questions

Who should I contact if I spot a burned out street light?

Contact the Committee Chair for Roads, Streets and Parks.  Street lights are turned off during Mayfly season, to reduce the accumulation of Mayfly's at the light poles.

When are assessments due and how should I pay?

Sand Beach Association Assessments are mailed on May 1st, each year.  All assessments are due by May 31st of the same year.  Questions can be directed to the Treasurer.  Any dues not paid on time will incur a 10% late fee.  If balance remains unpaid by the SBA Annual Meeting owner(s) will be subject to a $100.00 unpaid balance fee as voted on by the members in 2011, owner(s) will not be able to vote or rent the shelter house, and a lien may be placed on your property.

What are the bylaws of your community?

A copy of the bylaws can be acquired by contacting the Secretary and requesting a copy.

Who should I contact for a nuisance complaint?

Contact the Committee Chair(s) for the Nuisance Committee.  You can also complete a Nuisance form, which will be sent to the Chair(s).

Community Beaches

Sand Beach property owners have access to beaches owned by the association.  Sand Beach beaches are identifiable by the wooden walkways and/or stairs at the end of each numbered street, from 1st street to 12th street.  All beaches mentioned are available to all members and their guests.  Please be courteous and clean up after yourself.  Please stay off Private Property, including barrier rock walls.  Beaches extend approximately 40 feet, to the left and/ or right of the walkway / stairs, depending on the placement of the stairs (use the road across the street as a guide).

Where do I place yard waste?

In your garbage can!  Please do not place yard debris, or any debris, into the marsh.  This includes sand!  Sand needs to find its way back to the beach.  The health of the Marsh is essential in preventing flooding to our community.  Each year, during Sand Beach Clean-up, a dumpster is provided to assist in removal of accumulated debris.
